The DLS-30 is equipped with a dual voltage jack, allowing the user to manually select between 13.6V and 14.2V charging. As the battery nears its full capacity, the DLS-30 will automatically drop the current, providing a float charge to the battery to prevent self-discharge of the cells.
The DC no-load output voltage is approximately 13.6V (DC), with an output voltage tolerance (no load) of +/- 0.7%. The max continuous output amperage is 30 amps, and the output voltage (full load) is approximately 13.4V (DC). The maximum continuous power output is 400 watts, with a ripple and noise of 80%.
The DLS-30 features short circuit protection and overload protection, as well as thermal protection. The line regulation is 100mV RMS, and the load regulation converts the nominal 108-132AC voltage to 13.4DC voltage for both load operation and 12V battery charging.
This unit is ideal for charging all types of 12-volt lead-acid batteries, including flooded, absorbed glass mat (AGM), and gel cell. As a power supply, the DLS-30's tightly controlled regulation allows the user to operate a nominal 12VDC load up to 30 amps.
As a battery charger, the unit will maintain the battery, delivering its full rated current when the battery capacity falls sufficiently low. The voltage is set to deliver its maximum current for the necessary period of time to minimize undue stress to the battery caused by heating of its cells.
The max inrush current, single cycle, is 27 amps. The DLS-30 is a versatile and reliable power supply and battery charger, designed to meet the needs of various applications and users.
